The Citizens Advice Bureau in Coalville, Leicestershire, offers free, independent, impartial and confidential advice and also provides a debt counselling service. It helps people resolve their problems by providing information and advice from a team of trained volunteers.

Anne Stratton, the manager, signed up for the net:gain programme after they had a major system crash which resulted in them losing data. Anne said, “We were looking to apply our IT more effectively. We had grown up with an ad hoc system as a new organisation and it was going from bad to worse.”
As a result of completing the 10 steps of the programme CAB has already implemented improvements to their management systems and diary and alert system. Anne has valued the opportunity to take time out, to stand back and look at how to make improvements.
